It’s always great pleasure seeing such movies where from the opening scene you’re thrown into strange atmosphere of weirdness, tempting and seductive world from where you don’t really want to come back, no matter how uncontrolled the environment is. But in the end when the film over, you will feel a strong feeling of appreciation towards the filmmaker for making his film, HIGH-RISE, in such an outstanding, tasteful, and remarkable way.

HIGH-RISE follows Dr. Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston) who moves into a new building called High-Rise. But soon his life will advance from average to high after becoming part of insane parties full of sex, madness, fights and blood thrown by an architect, Mr. Royal (Jeremy Irons). But the question is, will the respectable and ambitious doctor lose his mind along with the other guests? Only time will answer the question… The time that will change everything for those who live in High-Rise.

Everything about Ben Wheatley`s movie is pure perfection. It has a beautiful, absolutely unforgettable score, fascinating and meantime dark photography that will make you go crazy along with its heroes, cinematography, and the performance. It will make you question whether the actors are pretending or it’s natural? All actors, Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans, Elizabeth Moss and James Purefoy deliver absolutely an out-of-the-world performance, showing what it means losing control over yourself.

In conclusion, HIGH-RISE is a beautifully crafted, masterfully directed film that will make you talk about it non-stop. From the beginning till the end, you will keep asking yourself how is it possible to pull out such a difficult concept into something that will almost make you run away from the screening.
