Animated films are one of the most fascinating genre in cinema which keeps advancing every day. It’s not that easy to create an interesting idea, develop it and turn it into something that will equally satisfy both children and adults. And of course seeing a film such as Hotel Transylvania 2 won’t disappoint anyone and is suitable to be watched by the entire family. After watching this hilarious, entertaining film, you will ask yourself only one question, “Why didn’t this film never received well-deserved recognition?”

Dracula (Adam Sandler) enjoys his life managing the hotel, looking after his already married daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez) and the company of human beings, who happily welcomes monsters in the human world. Everything goes well for Dracula until the moment when he becomes a grandfather of the very cute Dennis (Asher Blinkoff). From then on Dracula focuses on his grandson who he hopes one day will become a vampire like him. But the first sign he sees in him terrifies him, as Dennis can be the first human-born child from the Dracula family. This is why Dracula and his friends try to bring out the monster in his half human, half vampire grandson in order to keep Mavis from leaving the hotel. And believe me, a desperate Dracula will stop at nothing to accomplish his mission, if the stars wish so….

From the beginning, Hotel Transylvania 2 shows promising signs to be even better that the first one. We find Jonathan and Mavis planning big plans to move out to the big city where Dennis can grow as a normal human being. That news leaves Dracula upset and heartbroken, but only for a moment, as he comes up with a big plan to ensure that his beloved daughter will never leave the hotel. He sends Mavis and Jonathan out to explore the city while he begins to execute his plan to turn his grandson into a vampire. And as you can imagine, nothing in this adorable film happens without laughter or funny scenes which will follow you throughout the film.

Hotel Transylvania 2, directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, is a great excuse to gather the entire family to watch this harmless, kind, and truly creative animated film. The dialogues in film are hilarious, engaging and not silly, which is really important when it comes to such films. There is nothing that would make you regret taking your children out, as it truly manages to hit its target and delivers what it means. The entire cast who voice the characters seems real, and interested in characters whom they gave their voices. It never leaves an impression of being an average film that will be forgotten right after you watch the film. And moreover, you will probably wish to see it again. And I see no reason why you should not… After all, sometimes even monsters can be cute.
