Gravitas Ventures to Release Christina Kallas’ Award-Winning Ensemble Film – “The Rainbow Experiment”
Gravitas Ventures, a Red Arrow Studios company, has acquired worldwide rights to Christina Kallas’ award-winning ensemble film, THE RAINBOW EXPERIMENT. Featuring a cast of 36 principal characters THE RAINBOW EXPERIMENT is a post-modern whodunnit set in an New York City high school when a student is permanently injured during a science experiment on school grounds, leading to personal reckoning among faculty, students and parents. Kallas’ explosive film plays with time, perception and notion of a collective protagonist, creating a multi-layered viewing experience unlike any other. THE RAINBOW EXPERIMENT is scheduled to be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and on demand December 7th. It will have its LA Premiere at the Arclight Hollywood on October 28.
THE RAINBOW EXPERIMENT debuted at the Slamdance Film Festival in January and has followed with screenings at Cinequest, Cleveland, Ashland and other film festivals in the US and abroad, winning numerous accolades. The film had its International Premiere at the 2018 Moscow International Film Festival and its Asian premiere at the 12th FIRST International Film Festival Xining, the leading independent film festival in China. In 2016, Kallas scored on the film festival circuit with her award-winning debut feature, 42 SECONDS OF HAPPINESS—currently on Amazon and other platforms in 68 countries.
