Lenny Abrahamson‘s “ROOM” turns out to be one of the most successful films of the year as it continues receiving all possible recognitions. On January 19^th, 2016, ROOM captured 11 Canadian Screen Award Nominations , leaving Paul Gross’ war saga, Hyena Road, behind with 8 nominations. “ROOM” follows a five-year-old Jack who thinks the whole world is his room where he has lived since the day he was born. Imagine what happens with the little mind when he realizes the world is much bigger than he could have imagined and now is the time when he needs to discover it. But that, unfortunately, won’t happen until he and his mother escape captivity.
