Even though 2024 has almost passed by, many fascinating movies are still yet to be released. October offers a brand-new lineup of movies that will make every moviegoer’s experience unforgettable as the weather cools and the leaves start to change their color. This autumn, there’s something for every taste, from thrilling horror films to touching tales. These October releases will make an impact regardless of your preference for suspenseful thrillers, thought-provoking dramas, or sequels. Here, we’ll examine 5 of the most eagerly awaited movies coming out in theaters, giving you a taste of what to look forward to in one of the greatest months for movie debuts.

Before we get some big-screen enjoyment, there is one movie that we suspect lots of you’ll be watching this weekend: Joker: Folie à Deux. The sequel to the multi-award-winning, 2019 Batman-adjacent flick has waltzed into cinemas globally, so if you’ve been watching for Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga to sign up for forces at the silver screen, you’ll want to run for your neighborhood multiplex. Additionally, here is the list of 5 movies that will turn into Oktoberfest.

1) Saturday Night

Saturday Night Live has become a cultural juggernaut, considering its debut on October 11, 1975. However, it was almost an entire failure before its inaugural display. Nearly 50 years on from that night time, Jason Reitman (2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife) promises a wild, “stimulated by using real activities” flick that tells the tale of the 90 minutes leading up to the comic strip/improv comedy collection’ first-ever showing.

It’s also been given a host of massive names attached to it. Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard, iconic actors J.K. Simmons and Willem Dafoe, Perry Mason’s Matthew Rhys, The Fablemans’ Gabriel LaBelle, Bottoms’ Rachel Ann Sennott, Dickinson’s Ella Hunt, and The Responder’s Emily Fairn are simply a number of its all-megastar ensemble cast.

2) Terrifier 3

It is a slasher film with a Christmas theme that will hit theaters in time for Halloween. It’s the newest low-budget installment in Dan Leone’s steadily growing filmography.

The terrifying adversary from the previous two movies, Art the Clown, is back to chop ‘n’ dice a new set of people during the supposedly most lovely time of the year. As the ruthless killer with a circus motif, David Howard Thornton will play the same role again. The cast also includes Chris Jericho, Elliot Fulham, Samantha Saffidi, and Lauren LaVera. Terrifier 2 was much better received than its predecessor, so perhaps the threequel maintains the positive trend of this series.

3) Flight Risk

Mark Wahlberg is well-known for playing heroic characters on large screens, but Flight Risk sees him tackle an unprecedented adverse role—albeit in a movie that, based totally on the whole lot its trailer shows, might have given its biggest plot hints already.

Wahlberg plays Daryl Booth, a pilot charged with flying FBI agent Madelyn Harris (Michelle Dockery), and her gangland informant Winston (Topher Grace) to a court docket so the latter can testify in opposition to some hardline criminals. However, when Booth is found to be a hitman, despatched by stated criminals to kill Winston, things get decidedly furry mid-flight. Each time it lands on a streaming provider near you, it’s one to watch for.

4) A Real Pain

Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Batman v Superman) and Kieran Culkin (Succession, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) starred in this Eisenberg-directed comedy-drama, which received widespread praise at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. In it, the pair play mismatched cousins who reunite to embark on a clumsy excursion to Poland in honor of their recently deceased grandmother.

Unfortunately for UK and Australian viewers, A Real Pain will arrive later than its US debut, so the people who don’t live stateside have been asked to hold onto their excitement for a little longer.

5) Venom: The Last Dance

In the last part of the Marvel anti-hero movie trilogy, Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy will say goodbye to Eddie Brock and his symbiotic partner Venom. Venom 3 may turn out to be just as chaotically messy as the first two movies, based on what was seen in the film’s extended first teaser. Nevertheless, at least Venom Horse, a new, less-than-cute animal mascot, will give the internet something to cheer about. The second trailer for the film, which you can watch above, further establishes that Knull, the Symbiote God—a terrible eldritch entity—will play the villain.

After their brief celebration in the MCU films Spider-Man: No Way Home, Brock, and Venom: the Last Dance, this movie is going on the run as humans and aliens alike hunt the pair for differing reasons. Doctor Strange’s Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ted Lasso’s Juno Temple, House of the Dragon’s Rhys Ifans, and Boiling Point’s Stephen Graham are among its starry supporting cast.

In summary

Moviegoers could expect an interesting October 2024, as several films spanning all genres

will be making their theatrical premieres. The movies coming out this autumn have something for everyone, regardless of whether you enjoy good horror, intense dramas, or superhero action. These movies will keep you entertained for a while after you leave the theater, whether it’s with Terrifier 3 ugly joker to pinch your every nerve or dancing with the creepy creature from Venom: The Last Dance.
