TIFF 2026 Day 6 Preview: Ink, La Bola Negra, and Rachel Morrison’s In Conversation Talk

TIFF 2026’s sixth day is underway on Tuesday, September 15, with two Canadian premieres headlining the Premium slate at Princess of Wales Theatre.

Today’s Premium Premieres

  • Ink — Danny Boyle’s Canadian premiere, 2:30 p.m. at Princess of Wales Theatre. Jack O’Connell, Guy Pearce, and Claire Foy star.
  • La Bola Negra — Canadian premiere, 5:45 p.m., also at Princess of Wales Theatre. Los Javis direct this 155-minute ensemble drama starring Penélope Cruz and Glenn Close.

In Conversation With Rachel Morrison

TIFF’s confirmed public talk with Rachel Morrison takes place at 3:30 p.m. at TIFF Lightbox Cinema 2, tying in with her directorial debut Love of Your Life.

Also Screening Today

Regular screenings continue today for Elsinore (Andrew Scott, Olivia Colman), Wild Horse Nine (John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi), and A Talent for Murder (Helen Mirren).

Who Might Show Up

A film’s cast list is not a guarantee of a red carpet appearance. Penélope Cruz and Glenn Close are possibilities for the La Bola Negra premiere, and Rachel Morrison is confirmed on stage for her talk. Danny Boyle’s team has not confirmed a carpet appearance for Ink specifically.

Where to Get Tickets

Same-day and remaining tickets can be checked directly through tiff.net, or via Ticketmaster at ticketmaster.ca/tiff. TIFF’s official visitor and fan-zone information is available at am.ticketmaster.com/tiff2/Plan-Your-Visit — also the best source for red-carpet viewing logistics, since access has reportedly shifted to first-come, first-served this year.
